A Riddle For The Ages
Some have called me the greatest of all things.
Their words, not mine,
for I’m not one to brag.
Not everyone receives me,
though everyone deserves me.
Just the way you are, is all that is required.
Some have said I’m the greatest of all things
a life-spring from whose source
all good things flow
a bind-ing without which hope none would know.
Although much pain has been caused
in the name of me,
I do not agree,
despite fervent belief
I can be found in the most desolate of places.
I’ve been known to turn the tide in the most desperate of spaces.
I’ve been pursued a great deal throughout time’s book pages
I’m not far, yet I remain…
